Tumul is a Tarborese city and is the oldest settlement still standing in Carpesia. Colloquially known as "The Old City", the area around modern-day Tumul was first settled by the native population around the year 130. The region first got the name "Tumul" when it was officially founded in the year 998 under Pastichean authority. The city has a population of 5 and is the only city in Carpesia with a majority of Solarist believers.

Mayor
The city is governed by a mayor (also sometimes known as a Lord Mayor) appointed by the Prince. The mayor generally has unilateral power over the city similar to a noble, however does not own the city as a fief and rather holds office.
Citizenship
Unlike in contemporary times, not all residents of the city are citizens, only people native to the city or who were granted citizenship are citizens. Citizens get some privileges over non-citizens, such as toll exemptions, partnerships with the Tumul Merchant Company, as well as favourable treatment by other citizens and city institutions.
Tumul Merchant Company
Mercantile affairs pertaining to the city are managed by the Tumul Merchant Company, which is owned by the city and managed by the mayor. The company was founded as to facilitate trade that benefits the Citizens of the city instead of "Cajiar" merchants.
