The New Directed Union is a left wing party that can be most aptly described as futurist, it aims to destroy what it believes are reactionary and backwards elements of society such as religious, military and landowner classes (the latter which they call yeomen). They also believe in technocratic governance, and have tried to push for [[sortition]] in the government, having it implemented in the [[First Constitution]] and failing to implement it fully in the [[Second Constitution]].
