Yves Paul-Luc Desjardins Maximillien, commonly known as Yves Desjardins, Yves des Visions, or just Yves (b. 1634), is an Aréolean explorer, settler, and an Officièr.e of the Royal Aréolean Navy.
Early life and precolonial
Little is known about Yves' life prior to embarking on an expedition to the colony of Anguille, other than a town of origin and a date of birth: Rochefort-Sud in Aréole, and 19 Germinal 1634. Reports suggest they were a middle caste tailor, but this is unconfirmed.
Arrival at Anguille
Following a "string of bad decisions" according to Yves, they embarked on an expedition to Anguille in Frimaire 1670. Arriving in Pluviôse 1670, they quickly joined up with the Navy, becoming a Marin.
