The Crown of Aréole, sometimes called the Monarchy of Aréole, is the state in all its aspects within the jurisprudence of entire Aréolean realm and their subdivisions (such as the counties, duchies, orderdoms, etc). The term is used to describe the office of the monarch, the monarchy as institutions, to the rule of law, or to the functions of executive, legislative , and judicial governance and the civil service. The Crown is legally embodied in a person titled King; the King of Aréole is the embodiment of government and is recognized as sovereign through hereditary means. The current King, Jean-Jacques XLII, has been reigning since 1666.
