Etymology
The origin for Fort Godfrey Golden was first named Fort Sack. It is believed to be a play on "Cossack", the original settlers of the area before being wiped out by the Cossack Genocide. When The Gleeks settled the area they named the settlement after their leader Godfrey G. Golden.
