Ideology & History
The Party was founded on the 3rd of October 2023 by Loup Fox III as a successor to the Liberal Party. As opposed to the Liberals, Whigs believe in liberalism as a general belief framework rather than simply an economic one. They will support progressive issues in scenarios where it furthers business interests and oppose them when it doesn't.
They also believe in the "sanctity of the constitution and its intent", commonly shortened as Constitutional Puritanism or Constitutionalism. Whigs will sometime consult living "Founding Parents" (Authors of the constitution) in order to get clarification on certain issues. They will generally oppose amendments and additions to the constitution unless strictly necessary.
Finally, they believe in the supremacy of the National Assembly over the executive branch.

On October 4th, the Worker's Association Party attempted to impeach deputy Oscar from the northern National Assembly seat. As a response, the Whig party went on strike and shut down the government, leading to tense negotiations between both sides, arbitrated by Premier Loga. In the end the Assembly voted to hold snap elections in the Northern and Southern districts, which was overruled as unconstitutional by the courts.
