Controversies

Ideology dispute

Members of the Motherland Party disputed claims by the MLG Triumvirate that they are a socialist organization. The MLG Triumvirate's evidence for their claims were :

  1. "The Motherland" is a common phrase used in Communist spaces;
  2. Sickles and wheat ears, present in the Motherland Party's logos, are commonly used in Communist symbolism
  3. The Socialist Puppies Group, RSPI and SSPR, all self declared Socialist groups, were merged into the Motherland Party.
  4. The Motherland Party advocated for common leftist ideals, including to raise taxes, introduce democracy into the workplace, create a "new revolution in production", introduce anti-capitalist education in schools and for Universal Basic Income.
  5. The founder of the Motherland Party, Renarchat, is a notorious Communist, having founded communist groups in different Minecraft servers.

The Motherland Party disagreed with the MLG Triumivate, stating that as a big-tent party, they have no ideology and are composed of members who have several different ideologies.

Executive Order #001

The 1st president of infaru's McCarthyist Executive Order 001 targeted the Motherland Party severely, banning them from holding any position in government and holding them in indefinite trials. The order was voluntarily voided by the President after backlash.

Naming

To combat the MLG Triumvirate's bill to rename the Motherland Party to the Mario Party, the Motherland Party rebranded to the Motherland Party 2.
