Peter the Great, also erroneously(?) known as Peter Stuyvesant, is the president of Faru

Backstory

I was born in 1884 and raised to a family of Masons in Siniswopia, I was drafted to the military and taught to operate Armored vehicles like APCs and light tanks, but before I could make the front lines the Swopian Union raided my hometown in 1924, The Union destroyed both my family home and masonry shop, my father and mother were also both killed protecting their lands. After continuing to fight for 2 years I came to Faru on Jaro 2nd 1926 to get away from the Union and the Sino government that failed to protect my family. My main goal upon arrival was to re-establish my family's business and make a name for myself in the local economy in hopes of making my parents proud. I re-established my masonry business in Markarth where I was given a place to stay and welcomed by the people, mayor and president with open arms. To thank the local government, I swore to protect the people of Markarth as well as supply the city with some resources to pay for my shop and land, the people of Markarth are the only family I now have left.

Early Life (1897-1925)

As soon as I finished my education at the age of 13, I returned home and began working with my hands in my parents' masonry shop in Sinoswopia, I learned how to forge and reform clay, stone and other raw materials into more suitable materials for construction. I also shadowed my family's quarry workers for 2 years to learn how to create and work a commercial quarry. My parents had high hopes and even higher expectations of me to take over the family business when they retired, they were strict in my work schedule but off the clock they couldn't be more loving. My mother would spend hours telling me local legends every Friday night after work was completed. My dad was the cook around the house and taught me how to work a blade at just 15. Despite being a very successful business family we were not very wealthy, my parents had to supply for a family of 8 people (Mom, Moms Parents, Dad, Dads Parents, Uncle, and myself.) and inherited my grandparents' debt not long after they had me. Life was not easy, we ate mostly potatoes water and bread, treating ourselves to chicken or fish about once a week. As time went on and I continued to help my parents expand their business the situation started to improve, by the time I was 20 that had flipped to mainly eating chicken and Milk, occasionally even having some bread or potatoes with it. We had made our way out of poverty and into the middle class, we still were not rich enough for vacations or birthday parties but at least our stomachs were happy. Everything was going well until my uncle got lung cancer in mid 1908, it hit my dad hard, he took to the bottle and the business took a massive hit. I was forced to step up and fill my dad's shoes as the head of the business. I was now responsible for bargaining and orchestrating contracts with local construction workers. At first business took a real hit as the relations and trust my father built were not passed on to his young son, I struggled to haggle and was forced to accept slightly lower prices or go bankrupt. For the first two years it was once again very rough, and we went right back to our old diet in attempt to save money. In late 1911 things began to turn around for us as I had greatly improved my business skills and established trust and respect in the industry as my father had before me. By 1914 I managed to return my family to the state of economic freedom we had before the passing of my uncle. My dad was doing a little better but still spent most of his days moping around and reading the news to try and escape the depression he was stuck with. After a few years of enjoying life in the middle class with a well-oiled business the headlines had hit the newspapers in 1920. "The Swopian Union offers a deal to integrate Sinoswopia into its harmonious Union". We were not fooled. The union was anything but harmonious and the "deal" was more like a demand. Tensions were never higher, but neither was business, a government contract came in for supplies to construct a local military training center. A bittersweet moment as the money was good but we knew this meant our government was preparing for war. The construction was finished in mind 1921 and by early 1923 it was fully staffed. Just 2 months later the draft was announced, and I was chosen to be a part of the armored division. I had to leave my family and business behind to serve my country. I finished basic training by late 1923 and began my specialized training for the tank division further inland at a specialized base. Just weeks later in the very beginning of 1924 the invasion began. The military was not fully prepared, and the Union forces swept the nation by storm. We lot many men in our fight, but I wouldn't make it to the front line as part of the Armored Division until 1925, the war dragged on and I was in many fights, my unit alone had amassed over 5,000 confirmed kills by the end of the fight in late 1925. I had survived but my nation had fallen. My family was killed and my business destroyed by the hand of the union. I remained in hiding along with a few other surviving members of my unit in the far corners of the nation, when the opportunity arose, I fled my home nation and found myself in Faru.
