History and Biography

Early Life

Born on Octidi 28th Vendémiaire 1648 at the Château du Bois, County Bois, Aloïs-Henri du Bois is the third child and second son of Jean-François Sébastien Christoph du Bois, Count du Bois, and Anne-Marie Valentine de Caen. Named after legendary military strategist and commander Aloïs-Henri de Lébad, du Bois was granted the barony of Tours at the age of fifteen to placate him from his older brother Jean-François du Bois, the heir apparent to the County of Bois.

Despite his father's severe financial adversities, Du Bois received a first-rate education from leading tutors. Demonstrating very little enthusiasm and unremarkable aptitude in most disciplines, du Bois is fluent in ecclesiastical Applin.
