InfaruV3:Louis Laurent

Louis Laurent (c. 1648) is an Areolean soldier, seaman and former civil servant.

Louis was born in 1648 as youngest of five children to Jean Laurent, veteran civil administrator in the Free Royal City of Dannisburg.

Laurents family has a long history of civil service in the Free Royal City, with mentions of Louis Great-grandfather Lucas Laurent serving as advisor and minister to the Mayor.

Laurent received a middle-class education in Dannisburg, excelling in subjects such as history, geography, law and finances while showing lack of dedication in the studies of the natural science and mathematics.

After finishing his education, Laurent began serving as a magistrates aide upon his fathers wishes. While being described as intelligent and hard-working by colleagues, Laurent joined the royal infantry in 1668 at the age of 19 after only two years of service in Dannisburg.

Due to his fathers disapproval of his decision, his status did not aid Laurent in the military.

Having completed training and reaching the rank of Sergeant in the Royal Infantry at age 21, Laurent was enamored by the Charter of the Territory of Anguille issued by King Jean-Jacques XLII.

Laurent subsequently joined the Royal Navy in hopes of serving in the colonies, a wish which was fulfilled weeks after joining due to the increasing threat of piracy in Anguille.
