The Jeantican, officially the State of the Solar Order, is a small state completely surrounded by Aréole. It was founded in 1799 as a way to separate the very popular Sol Magna faith and the secular state of Aréole. It is the smallest country in the world, with an area of 30 square kilometres and a population of only 900.

The state is an absolute monarchy headed by the Sovereign of the Sun, Jean-Robert III. The solar sovereignty is a title that dates back to the year one of the modern calendar. It was established by the first King of Aréole, Jean I, and was associated with the monarchy until it was forcefully separated in 1799 following the abolition of the Aréolian monarchy.

The Sovereign remains a very popular figure, with Sollists still making up nearly 60% of the Aréolois population and the Sovereign still being viewed as a living prophet and spiritual guide as per the traditions of the faith.
