Ljuba Milenkovic

Ljuba Milenkovic (1903 - 1927) was a Farun Politician who served as the 6th of the Republic of Faru from 1926 to the first few days of 1927. Milenkovic was a member of the Federation of Mutualists and Agrarians when she held office, but was also a member of the New Farun Labor prior.

Milenkovic was born in 1903 to a small farming family living on a swamp island off the coast of the town of Sporlonki. She was raised there by her parents. Her parents died in 1920 and with no siblings she inherited the farm, but struggled to keep it run. She eventually had to shut the farm down and moved to the mainland, finding work with the Department of Labor and Agriculture on a state-run farm. However the farm was shut down after just a week working on it.

Frustrated that her farm was shut down, she joined the New Farun Labor Party with the main goal of becoming a senator and bringing her farms back. She became a Senator and quickly rose to the rank of Premier of Faru. As Premier she oversaw the passing of several pieces of legislation, such as the creation of the Bureau of Public Works. She decided to then retire mid-term and return back to farming life as she had accumulated some wealth to return to farming.

From 1924-1925 she was out of politics, working on her farm. But soon once again it started struggling. During this time the New Farun Labor Party collapsed and the Liberal-Conservative Party gained a majority in senate. Frustrated that the very party that shut down her old state farm was back in power again, on top of her own new farm struggling, she joined the new Federation of Mutualists and Agrarians, or FMA and moved to the town of Winterfell. With her previous experience as senator and premier, she was able to secure her party's support to run for president. She narrowly made it to the second round of elections where she faced off against Delphin Feucoeur, the mayor of Winterfell, her town. During a campaign speech in the city of Markarth, her opponent Delphin came and they had a small mini-debate there in the city. There are opposing stories of what happened, but eventually the crowd from Markarth went to Urbis to protest against Urbis for "oppressing the east". The protest turned bloody and one urbisian died. Delphin blamed Ljuba for the event, while Ljuba blamed Delphin for it. Eventually the pair went to Forum Hill to have yet another mini-debate and to speak to the crowd when Delphin was attacked and fell, seemingly dead. Ljuba chased after the assailant but they were never brought to justice.

With Delphin out of the running, Ljuba instead faced off against the Third Place finisher in the first round of elections, Abbi Dukakis. Milenkovic secured over 60% of the vote and became President of Faru.

Her presidency was less known for the actions she did as president, but rather the controversies she was caught in. Prior to her presidential bid she was caught in a criminal case on whether she released a wandering trader prisoner from the Providence Jail, but that case was settled outside of court. Then, as president, she was charged and put in prison for allegedly leading and participating in a riot, but she was only found guilty of participating in one, not leading it. Officially a convicted criminal at this point, she became more erratic and paranoid, especially when it turned out Delphin was not dead, but rather in a coma because of the earlier attack. One of the biggest scandals she faced was allegedly stealing a drink from a bartender in Urbis, although she was never convicted of such.

With all the scandals and pressure, she resigned from her position and retired from politics, although staying a member of the FMA. Premier Peter the Great succeeded her.

With the loss of the presidency and then after the position of Minister of Defense, the FMA retreated to the city of St. Olga and began an insurgency in which Milenkovic, having lost her presidency, likely sanity and was going to lose her position as Mayor of Winterfell (Which she inherited following the assumed death of Delphin but was threatened to be taken away now that it turned out Delphin was in fact not dead), participated in. During the initial siege of the city, Milenkovic was forced to flee the city. She retreated back to her home in Winterfell, where she wrote her Will and Testament and began heading towards Markarth on the railway.

In Markarth she was spotted by the State Police and they chased her down the Markarth-Urbis railway. While they were chasing her she appeared to have lost her sanity and she screamed back to those chasing her to let her be as she wished to "jump off the Pancea". It was here that the State Police informed her that the Pancea, a popular attraction in Providence, was bulldozed and so she seemed dumbfounded for a moment before instead shouting that she was now going to jump off the Allied Company Building. She continued running through the tunnel and as she reached a train junction she was shot multiple times by the Police and finally fell, dead.
