President Wanda Ward Jr. was elected with a plurality vote of 42%, the two other candidates, while together garnering more votes were split between Novak and Lüttwitz and thus lost. Novak, despite losing the race, was the only candidate to get voters in all districts save for south which uninamously voted for General Lüttwitz.
Background
The Election was slated to be set a week after the constitution was approved by the Faruan Constitutional Convention, soon after they approved the district plan following the guidelines they set themselves.
Leading up to the Election were originally four candidates, one of them being Sergei Dunayevskiy, unfortunately the prominent Liberal was found dead of cyanide poisoning in the Urbis Graveyard two days before the election.
The day before the events, all three remaining candidates held a presidential debate, where most candidates were shown to agree on core issues while mostly disagreeing on how to handle the Cossack Free State question.
