The Southern People's Alliance is a major political party within the Southern Region. It is a regionalist social-democratic party comprised of populists, religious democrats and moderate socialists. It was created by Felix Loupius, Appoline Theriot, and Mike November as an opposition to the Liberal-Conservative monopoly over southern political life.
History
The people's alliance was founded following a rise of southern populism, following a rise of crime in Urbis City, rural decay and economic stagnation, compared with the opposite happening in the wealthy Eastern region. Members of the SPA, notably Felix Loupius, organized the referendum creating the regional government, and so the party is closely tied with the region and its founding, only being formally created a day after the government was approved by the Farun Senate.
1926 (November 2024)
A meeting was held in Providence, where future members of the party shared grievances and goals for an association of southern populists, shortly after, they formalized their organization as the Southern People's Alliance.
The party quickly got on its feet, finding people to run for every elected office within the Southern government within the first day of its formation.
