History
The island of Carpesia has been settled since at least 3000 BCE, when sailor peoples found the island and set up what was presumably fishing outposts.
Carpesia was later ruled by various ancient empires, and later by the Kingdom of Pastiche, who held the island from 1022 until 1501. It was then ruled by an Aréolian monastic order until it was ceded to the small and independent Princedom of Carpesia.
Geography
The Western portion of the island is hilly, with a few flat areas in between where player settlements such as the city of Sinos are found. The central part is quite flat and is host to the smaller city of Vidinia. The east meanwhile features Mount Hiljar, the highest point of the Carpesian Archipelago as well as a few important mining operations.
