City and its Districts

The city of Zallisburg currently holds 8 internal districts, some are highly influential not only to Zallisburg, but to all of Faru. Certain districts hold major historic value, dating back to mentions of historic Gilgerian records, while others are centers of culture and/or commerce.

Mermaid Peninsula

The commerce and population core of Zallisburg finds many people living in apartments of the district as well as most businesses setting up shop due to the Zallisburg Train Station being located inside of the district. The district is one of the most profitable market zones of Faru and due to Zallisburg being mostly uninvolved in the East-South regional conflict, many choose to go to Mermaid Peninsula for their shopping needs.

Marienburg

The district is one of the oldest of Zallisburg, as evidenced by a few scripts found of Gilgeria mentioning the town. The northern half of Marienburg is a protected zone for preservation purposes, a historic preservation of the old town.

Saint Paulus

The apparent second oldest district of Zallisburg is mentioned in one of Gilgerian scripts about Marienburg, more specifically about the cathedral which was under construction.

Telthos

This district used to be an old settlement which dated back to pre-Faru era. Unfortunately the native population of the old town have either passed or emigrated, the town was incorporated as a district and is zoned as the first district of the "New Zallisburg" planning region, where the city establishes a more urban aesthetic.

Notable People

Connor McHitch

The man who helped connect Zallisburg to the new Republic of Faru. His achievements helped Zallisburg become a major town, and later on, a well-respected city.

Zalix Anderson

Without Zalix, Zallisburg would likely remain a collection of small towns, still undiscovered by Farun people. The biggest accomplishment Zalix contributed to Zallisburg is forming a unity between Mermaid Peninsula, Marienburg Saint Paulus, forming what we know today as "Zallisburg". Despite the rumours of him naming the city after himself, the name was ultimately accepted.

Not long after unity of Zallisburg, Zalix sailed to Urbis City and let the government know about the existence of the settlement. The government responded by sending a tax collector.

"On The East"

Zallisburg found itself aligning itself with people who live in the region the country calls "The East". Once a ridiculed region, the city was proud to stand with those who were marginalised by the central government.
